What is microlearning?
Microlearning is an effective method of professional learning that delivers information in short, manageable chunks. Learners can process information in short intervals and focus on one skill or task at a time. Most often, these small learning units are offered using an online platform. This allows learners to access the content when it’s convenient and to apply their new knowledge immediately in the roles that they serve.
What are micro-credentials?
Micro-credentialing is the process of completing short competency-based courses that allow learners to show mastery of specific skills. These professional learning opportunities often lead to industry-recognized certificates or badges.
How do I sign-up for a micro-course?
If you have an account and have participated in a Professional Learning course before, you can log in to your existing account by navigating to the The Academy website, selecting “Start Learning” from the menu in the top right corner. Once logged in, you may enroll in the micro-course(s).
If you do not have an account, you sign-up for an account by navigating to the The Academy website, selecting “Start Learning” from the menu in the top right corner and select “Create Account” (bottom left of the pop-up box). Once your account has been created, you may enroll in the micro-course(s).
